지난 20일(한국시각) 미국 보스턴 스타디움에서 벌어진 2026년 북중미월드컵 C조 2차전 스코틀랜드-모로코의 경기(모로코 1대0 승) 도중 이례적인 장면이 연출됐다.

러닝타임 76분이 됐을 때, 경기장 대형 전광판 화면에 한 인물의 얼굴 사진이 띄워졌고, 수만 명의 스코틀랜드 관중은 묵념과 함께 박수를 보냈다.
